Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 August 2026

This policy sets out how CrawlUp collects, uses, and protects personal data, and the control you have over it.

1. Who we are

CrawlUp provides an AI search visibility platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers our website and our product.

2. Data we collect

We only collect what we need to run the service well.

  • Account data such as your name, work email, company, and password hash.
  • Billing data such as your plan and invoice history. Card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us.
  • Product data such as the domains, keywords, and reports you create.
  • Usage data such as pages visited, features used, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Support data such as the messages you send us.

3. How we use your data

We process your data to deliver and improve CrawlUp.

  • Provide the platform, generate your insights, and keep your account secure.
  • Handle billing, renewals, and receipts.
  • Answer support requests and send important service notices.
  • Understand which features are useful so we can improve the product.
  • Send product news where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on contract performance to deliver the service you signed up for, legitimate interests to secure and improve the platform, consent for marketing messages and non essential cookies, and legal obligation for tax and accounting records.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, although some parts of the platform may then stop working correctly.

6. Sharing your data

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run CrawlUp, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics, and customer support tools. Each of them is bound by contract to protect your data.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

7. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. Where that happens, we use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to keep your data protected.

8. How long we keep it

We keep account and product data for as long as your account is active. After you close your account we delete or anonymise your data within 90 days, except where we must keep records for legal or accounting reasons.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@trycrawlup.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, role based access controls, and regular reviews of our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, so we also ask you to use a strong, unique password.

11. Children

CrawlUp is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes and contact

If we make a material change to this policy we will let you know by email or in the product. For any privacy question, write to privacy@trycrawlup.com.
